A couple of years ago, my husband and I managed to visit this unforgettable country of eternal summer. We went there in late autumn, at the end of November. Coming off the plane at the airport in Sharm el-Sheikh, we got right into the summer! Hooray! Down with warm clothes - hot and cool! It was the first shock - air temperature +25, and water +21. It was even hard to believe, it seemed that we were dreaming about it.
Arrived at the hotel settled down and went to dinner in the restaurant. Yes, there are no canteens. Nice and caring staff, they speak broken Russian and decent English. The abundance of dishes on offer immediately makes your eyes widen and it is difficult to choose something. I really want to eat literally everything at once! For the first day or two, vacationers from post-Soviet countries eat off, and then they become calmer.

Then they ran to the sea, to the beach. The Red Sea is a real Klondike for divers . Everyone dives, even children , because such an indescribable beauty of the underwater world cannot be seen anywhere else in the world! The secret is that the seabed is light, rocky and reflects light well. The water is so clean and transparent that you forget about it when you dive, fish of all shapes, colors and shades seem to hover, not swim. They are very bright - this is a sign of toxicity, so you can’t touch them. One vacationer approached too close to the surgeon fish, as a result, she cut his leg like a scalpel. The incision is small, but then he was very frightened and so were we.
They offer a variety of excursions, but since everyone goes to the pyramids, we chose a boat trip on a glass-bottomed boat and a trip to the Ras Mohammed Marine Reserve. Boat trip with a guide lasted about an hour, allowed to take pictures. Fascinating and interesting, because the names of fish and corals still do not say anything, but here they told such curious things that the time flew by incredibly quickly. We drove to the reserve for a couple of hours, but the guide did not let us get bored. He told us about the interesting customs of his country. He warned that if we get to the market, then it is necessary to bargain with all the sellers, otherwise they are very offended and perceive your agreement with the price as a personal insult. Pretending that it is too expensive for you (and the prices are initially inflated by at least 1.5 times), leave. Then they will definitely call you or catch up with you and begin to bargain with you. My personal record: I bought a minting plate like this, I was returned 7 times, as a result I brought down the price by 2.5 times.
Trip to Ras Mohammed Marine Reserve
So, we arrived and finally saw the entrance. huge blocks of stone, arranged in a bizarre way. It was more like stones in the desert - but where is the marine reserve itself? We were taken further. They showed the lake of youth with incredibly cold water (only the bravest dared to swim), it was unpleasant even to get their feet wet. Then there was a lake with desalinated water - bushes grow there, the roots of which have learned to filter salt water. Migratory birds stop here for watering.
Finally we reached the coast, rocks and the sea. First we climbed a small rock along a cut path. went to the site, which is the southernmost point of the mainland. The review is simply amazing! The sea captures and fascinates with its purity and originality. We went downstairs, we were allowed to swim, but we were immediately asked not to take off our rubber slippers. We were surprised, but then we realized. this is for our own safety, because the bottom is rocky, uneven, there are many bumps, sharp stones, you can step on and get hurt. That is why there are special pontoons on the beaches of hotels so that people swim in the depths and do not walk on the bottom with their feet. Time flew by like a bird and I did not want to return from a beautiful summer to a cold winter. When we arrived in Kyiv on December 2, the first snow fell, and our thoughts were still there, in distant and warm Egypt.
