In a forest of marvelous beauty, with an area of more than 1000 hectares, surrounded by the fresh air of a coniferous forest, there is a sanatorium with the intriguing name "Forest Pearl". The sanatorium (until 1992 the sanatorium of the plastics plant) was created on the basis of the factory rest house, opened in 1987. In those days, there were treatment rooms for electro-light therapy, ozokerite therapy, inhalation rooms, and therapeutic baths. The sanatorium "Forest Pearl" is located in the Tambov region in the suburbs of the city of Kotovsk.
Currently, it is a health-improving complex of republican significance, in which patients with cardiovascular, broncho-pulmonary, intestinal, gynecological diseases, diseases of the musculoskeletal system are treated. In these areas, 60 types of sanatorium treatment are offered using the latest equipment. All treatment rooms are open seven days a week from 8 am to 6 pm.
For accommodation, vacationers are provided with separate rooms of several categories: from rooms with partial amenities to deluxe rooms and rooms for families. In the sanatorium health improvement system, serious attention is paid to veterans, the disabled, and children. Over 55,000 patients improved their health here during the period of operation of the sanatorium.
One of the methods in the sanatorium is balneotherapy - treatment with mineral waters. The healing properties of mineral water are natural, natural, so this method can be used without any significant restrictions for treatment and prevention, as an independent procedure, or in combination with other therapeutic factors. Therefore, in the "Forest Pearl" hydrotherapy is given considerable attention. In the health resort there is a well of mineral water "Kotovskaya" with a depth of 510 m.
