Palm Islands in Dubai

Palm Islands in Dubai

The Palm Islands in Dubai (Palm Islands or Palm Islands) is a unique project that cost the government of the United Arab Emirates $ 7 billion. This miracle of man-made structure can be easily seen from space with the naked eye.

The Palm Islands are located on the coast of the Persian Gulf in the emirate of Dubai . This famous artificial archipelago consists of three islands: Palm Deira, Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali. They are interconnected by a coastline and, having a diameter of 6 km, increase the Dubai coastline by a total of 520 km.

Palm Islands are made in the form of date palms. Each island is crowned with a crescent moon - a well-known Muslim symbol, which in this case acts as a breakwater. The islands are protected by barrier reefs, which are inscriptions in Arabic. These are quotes from the poems of Prince Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum: “In order to leave lines on the water, insight is needed; great people set themselves great tasks”; “Draw wisdom from the one who has it; Not everyone on a horse is a rider."

The Palm Jumeirah has a monorail line that connects the island to the mainland. The line was opened on April 30, 2009. This is the first monorail in the Middle East. Today the Palm Islands are the symbol of the United Arab Emirates . Actually, Dubai itself has long become one of the most famous tourist centers in the world, and the Palm Islands attract new visitors from all over the world. The dynamically developing resort has magnificent sandy beaches, and luxurious hotels with large swimming pools are located nearby. The waters of the Persian Gulf are clean and transparent. Despite the fact that the local tides are quite strong, storms are rare and short-lived. So there are all conditions for a good rest.

Throughout the Palm Islands in Dubai, tourists can enjoy comfortable hotels, shopping centers, water parks, restaurants, SPA centers, cinemas, sports complexes and marine parks for lovers of various water sports.
