It seems that the trends of the modern world are not powerful here. Bora Bora, this lost paradise in the Pacific Ocean, has managed to preserve its original beauty, which has made it one of the most famous, charming, wonderful places on the planet.

Europeans, however, discovered this island back in the 18th century - the famous James Cook sailed here back in 1769, and landed for the first time in 1777. But Bora Bora, due to its remoteness from the rest of the world, remained the way it was for many, many years wanted to see the indigenous people of these places, appeared here around 400 AD. Only in the twentieth century, the islands, annexed by France, felt some influence of civilization - during the war years, an American military base was located on Bora Bora, thanks to which the coast of the island bristled with military guns. But fate kept the island - not a single battle took place here, and in 1946 the base was completely closed.
