In contrast to the streets and shops of the northern part, there is a huge beach in the very south of Rhodes. This part of the island is no less interesting.
Prasonisi is thesouthernmost point of the island, a unique placewheremeet- the Mediterranean and the Aegean.

When the water level rises, the isthmus "goes under water" and the peninsula is temporarily cut off from the mainland. Locals call this phenomenon romantic - "kiss of two seas".

There is a restaurant, several shops where you can buy food, souvenirs and some equipment for surfing and kiting (gloves, wetsuits, etc.).

Most surfers live in tents or buses. There are several 2-3 * hotels, but in the season they are always full, and the prices are comparable to the prices of 4 * hotels in nearby resorts. Often vacationers stay at the Atrium Prestige 5 * hotel, which is 18 km from Prasonisi. And they get from the hotel either by a rented car or by a special bus that runs from the hotel to Prasonisi and back.
Prasonisi is only 90 km from the capital of the island.
