Wizz Air allowed the use of electronic equipment during the entire flight

 

 Wizz Air Hungary has allowed the use of electronic devices during all stages of the flight.  

As before, the use of phones on board the aircraft will be limited. They can be left on only if the device supports "flight" mode (airplane mode) without transmitting information to base stations.

Also, passengers will not be able to use heavy devices such as a laptop during takeoff and landing, as this can lead to injury in the event of a sudden change in the position of the aircraft.

The new rules apply only to flights by  Wizz Air Hungary , which flies to Kyiv from Budapest and London, as well as to Kharkiv from Warsaw. On Wizz Air Ukraine flights, the old rules still apply - electronics can be used after climbing and before descending.

More liberal rules allowing the use of electronic devices during the entire flight were introduced in the US in late 2013.  Later, EASA made a similar decision .  The ban on the use of electronics in aircraft was associated with the alleged influence of electronic devices on the on-board systems of airliners.
