Interestingly, according to historical data, the castle never belonged to Prince Vlad the Impaler (Dracula's real name). But the prince here carried out tortures on his enemies. During his life, he impaled more than 40 thousand people, for which he was nicknamed bloodthirsty. And later he was called a vampire. And Vlad received the nickname Dracula (Son of the Dragon or Dragon Jr.) in honor of his father, who was a member of the elite knightly Order of the Dragon, wore a medallion with the image of the Dragon, minted it on his coins - and in connection with this he received the nickname Dracul (Dragon).
