New Year's celebrations in Europe (part II)

New Year's celebrations in Europe (part II)

We continue to introduce you to the cities of Europe, where you can have fun to celebrate the New Year and get a lot of vivid impressions.
The main winter holiday in Finland is Christmas. If you want to celebrate the New Year in this country, head to Helsinki.

In early December, a Christmas tree is decorated on the Senate Square of the capital, and traditional Finnish souvenirs can be purchased in numerous tents. On December 31, a wide variety of entertainment events are held on the square, and an hour before the New Year, a grandiose concert begins, in which the most famous musicians and performers in the country take part. Exactly at midnight, the clock of the Lutheran Cathedral is heard and fireworks start at the same time. It’s quite cold in Helsinki on New Year’s Eve, so you won’t be able to walk outside until morning. But you can have a great time in one of the capital's bars or restaurants and enjoy exotic northern dishes.

On January 1, when our compatriots sleep off after New Year's Eve, the New Year's parade begins in London. From the very morning, the British gather in the center of the capital of Great Britain to take part in a festive and colorful procession. Not only city dwellers, but guests of the capital take part in the New Year's parade. The festive procession starts at 11 o'clock from the GreenPark metro station. A huge number of people of various professions pass through the most famous places in London. Professional artists, students, athletes, etc. take part in the procession. The end point of the holiday route is Westminster Abbey.

For families with children, we recommend celebrating the New Year in Estonia, or rather, in Tallinn. An elegant Christmas tree has been installed on the main city square, near which residents and guests of the Estonian capital gather. By the way, it is customary to come to the Town Hall Square with families and with an impressive supply of firecrackers, firecrackers and firecrackers. Children can take part in various creative competitions held by fairy gnomes. There is also a small zoo and ice slides on the square.

In the capital of Austria - Vienna, New Year's entertainment begins on December 31st. In the city center there are shops selling mulled wine, sweets and souvenirs. "New Year's Path" is the name of this stream of outlets, along which musicians and theater troupes perform on small stages. New Year's Eve in Vienna takes place on the Stephansplatz square. After the ringing of the bells, numerous fireworks take off into the air, and then it's time to visit bars and restaurants. You can celebrate the New Year in Vienna not only on the street and in a restaurant, but on a boat, at a ball, and even at the Vienna State Opera. If you want to go on a New Year's cruise on the Danube or have fun at a ball in the Hofburg Palace until 4 in the morning, you should think about buying tickets in advance.
