Rhodes is rightfully considered the pearl of the Mediterranean. Even compared to the rest of Greece, Rhodes stands out for its wealth of natural beauty and archaeological treasures. It was declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Old Rhodes

The island's capital of the same name - the city of Rhodes - is located in the very north of the island. Its heart, Old Rhodes is a medieval city hidden behind high city walls. Narrow streets, cozy cafes, small shops with handmade souvenirs - you can walk there for hours.

And behind the walls of Old Rhodes is a modern city with a lot of entertainment and vibrant nightlife. It is a good combination of sightseeing and beach holidays.

The island is washed by two seas at once - in the northwest the Aegean and in the southeast the Mediterranean .
The western part of the island has pebbly beaches and constant waves, while the eastern part is sand and calm water. Accordingly, the east coast of the island (the areas of Kalithea, Faliraki, Kolymbia, Lindos ) is best suited for a traditional beach holiday and holidays with children , and most importantly, this is an inexpensive holiday in Greece , and its west ( Ixia, Ialyssos ) is for windsurfing and active rest. The swimming season here lasts from May to October.

The southernmost point of the island - Prasonisi - is the meeting point of two seas, or as it is also called "kiss of two seas". On one side is the calm, dark blue Mediterranean Sea, and on the other, the restless turquoise Aegean.

Conditions for practicing popular water sports have been created. For golf lovers there is a large golf club. The only  water park  on the island of Rhodes is located here. It is divided into three sectors: in one there are various water slides, in the second - a huge pool with an artificial wave, the third sector - entirely for children, with water labyrinths and pools.
Magnificent sandy beaches, almost 5 km long, are suitable for families with children.
